I will admit it, I weighed in 3 times this morning. I got 3 different weights over the course of about 15 minutes. I'm using the lowest one. Not a bad first week. I did weigh-in mid-week and got a result of over a half pound lower, but it's the one on Monday morning that counts. Weight for 5/2 was 191.6, down 1.9 pounds.
I'm adjusting my points this week. Last week I was counting points for nursing, but I think that my milk is basically gone and what I am making is not going to make enough milk to correspond to the points. That is really going to lower my points because my weight change also caused me to lose a point. So in 1 week I'm going from 37 to 29 points per day.

3rd Day
Falling back into WW has been like falling back into an old friendship. Despite the new format of the "points plus" instead of just "points," the mind frame has been similar. I'm making choices for more fruit and vegetables and thinking about whether high caloric foods are worth the points. The hard part is that I feel like I'm constantly thinking about food. Not that I'm hungry per se, but that I'm always thinking about what I have to eat next, or when the next time is so I can plan my points accordingly. I'm hoping this is a phase and will go away.
Since I'm weighing in at home, it's hard not to do a mid-week check-in. I really want to only weigh once a week, but this morning I caved and jumped on the scale. I was pleasantly surprised to see a 2 lb loss! Probably most of it was water or something, but maybe it means that I'm doing what I'm supposed to be doing during the days too. At least it was positive reinforcement.

Beginning of the Journey
I'm blogging to chronicle my journey to lose my baby weight from DD. I'm going to be brutally honest about my feelings, my actual weight, my trials and my triumphs. Maybe this with morph into more than just a weight loss journey, but for now I need a place to put my thoughts.
Beginning information: DD was born 4/22/10. I started my journey on 4/25/11. Before I got pregnant I was about 160. My starting weight on 4/25/11 was 193.5. My goal is to lose at least 30 lbs before we begin trying for a 2nd child. I joined Weight Watchers online and will follow that program.
